Who We Are
Beth Eden is a local church made up of ordinary people learning to follow Jesus together.
We come from different backgrounds and stages of life, but we share a common desire: to understand what the Bible teaches and to live it out in everyday life.
We’re not trying to create a certain image or keep up with trends. We want to be faithful—to God, to His Word, and to one another.
Our life together as a church is shaped by a few commitments.
They influence how we gather, how we grow, and how we relate to one another.
Our Values
These aren’t just ideas we agree with—they shape how we live, how we relate to one another, and what we aim to be as a church.
-
We believe the Bible is God’s Word and speaks truthfully about life, God, and ourselves.
Because of that, we take time to understand it carefully and teach it clearly. We want what we do as a church—and how we live as individuals—to be shaped by what God has said, not just by what feels right or current. -
At the heart of our faith is the message of who Jesus is and what He has done.
We believe that through His life, death, and resurrection, God has made a way for people to be forgiven and made new. That message isn’t just the beginning of the Christian life—it shapes how we think, how we grow, and how we relate to one another. -
The Christian life is not instant or individual—it’s something we grow into over time, alongside others.
We don’t expect perfection, but we do take growth seriously. We aim to be patient with one another, to encourage one another, and to keep taking steps forward in faith, even when it’s slow or difficult. -
We believe the message of the Bible is meant to be shared.
As a church, we want others to hear and understand who Jesus is and what He has done. That happens in everyday conversations, in relationships, and in the way we live—not just through formal programs. -
Ultimately, our aim is not to build something for ourselves but to be faithful to God.
That shapes our priorities, our decisions, and the way we think about what matters most.
We want what we do—both as a church and as individuals—to reflect His character and honor Him. That shapes our priorities, our decisions, and the way we measure what really matters.
What This Looks Like
These values aren’t just ideas—they shape the way our church actually functions.
We take time to teach the Bible clearly each week
We encourage relationships that go beyond Sunday
We make room for questions and growth over time
We care about living out our faith in everyday life
We look for opportunities to share what we believe with others
OUR TEAM
Our church is led by pastors and staff who are responsible for teaching, guiding, and caring for the church.

Jason Pilchard
LEAD PASTOR
Jason grew up at Beth Eden Baptist Church and has served as the Lead Pastor since 2015. Prior to being called as the lead pastor of Beth Eden, he served as the Youth Pastor of Grace Baptist Church in Farmington, NM and in a variety of assistant roles at Beth Eden - including director of Camp Eden in Golden, CO. Jason is married to his high school sweetheart, Bethany, and they have two children Elijah and Zachary. Jason and Bethany enjoy long city walks, attempting home improvement projects and rooting for all of the Colorado sports teams. Jason is rumored to have once had a serious Diet Coke addiction.

Randy Vawter
ASSOCIATE PASTOR
Randy began attending Beth Eden Baptist Church when he was 11 years old, after his family moved to the Denver area from central Illinois. He filled several ministry positions around Beth Eden until he joined the pastoral team in 2012. For ten years, Randy served as the Director of Camp Eden, before taking on full-time pastoral duties in 2023. Randy met his wife, Nikki, while working at Camp Eden during his college years. They have three kids - Peyton, Jackson, and Stella - who are all nice and smart, and you probably should meet them before you meet Randy. In his free time, Randy enjoys woodworking and sharing good stories with his family. He’s a big fan of both coffee and Coke Zero, but he’s not dependent on either (probably).

David Eilert
CHURCH MUSIC ASSISTANT
David joined Beth Eden in 2018 and serves as the Music Assistant, leading congregational singing each week. He and his wife, Sarah, also serve as Beth Eden’s youth leaders. David teaches orchestra and band at a public middle school in the Littleton Public School district and enjoys coaching middle school basketball. While Sarah is a Colorado native, David grew up in Michigan, and the two of them met in college. They love walking CO trails, discovering new breakfast places in Denver, and cheering on the Broncos and Wolverines.
A Long History with One Goal
Beth Eden has been active in northwest Denver and Wheat Ridge since 1893.
In over a century, many things have changed—but our aim has remained the same: to be a church shaped by the Bible and centered on Jesus Christ.
We’re grateful for our history and see our role as just part of a bigger story that God is telling about how the Bible shapes people in the Denver area.
A Little Bit of History
Come and See
The best way to understand a church is to experience it.
If you’re considering visiting, we’d be glad to have you join us on a Sunday morning.
