Psalm 146

My Trust Is in God Alone

3 Do not trust in princes,

In mortal man, in whom there is no salvation.

·         There is no act of worship that may not fitly begin and end with his praise.

·         We have more to fear than to hope for from the best man living, if we put him in the place of God.

·         Art thou a child of sorrow, borne down with the weight of thy grief? Cast thy burden on the Lord. Trust in him. He can raise thee out of the depths up to the heights of glory.

·         “Perpetuity is the distinguishing character of the divine government.” (Morison)
